OptiView live streaming
Dolby OptiView Live Streaming is the new name for THEOlive as part of the OptiView product suite. During the transition, you may still see references to THEOlive. OptiView Live and THEOlive refer to the same product.
OptiView live is a streaming solution perfect for use cases such as live sports, sports betting and interactivity, with support for all kinds of platforms and devices.
The supported streaming protocols are:
- HESP: Ideal for the 1–5 second latency range, delivering low latency at scale for sports betting and interactive experiences.
- HLS: An industry standard targeting 8 seconds and up, with broad platform support, ensuring compatibility across a wide range of devices and players.
